‘Connect’ is a textile-based installation in response to the national conflicts at the time of coronavirus. The work suggests that countries separate themselves with walls and barriers from the neighbours but simultaneously rely on each other to become better off. The brown buttons represent the core human self. They are identical in shape but different in forms and colours. Thread forms a link between culture and person, illustrating that we are, indeed, all connected.
